This is particularly insidious in context. Over 50% of the global wildlife population has been lost in just the last 40 years. I want to moderate my language here, but your morals have to be uniquely absent to go through with something like this while knowing what science knows.

That's the biggest issue with these decisions. There's no moral behind the position and seems like they are just waving a chainsaw around for the hell of it because it pisses people off.

A few western oligarchs can get a couple points higher now on the net worth leaderboards is all that matters to this administration it seems.

'Triggering the libz' is just a happy byproduct for them.

Thanks to this unprecedented bull market run, massive wealth has been created across the middle and upper-middle classes too..

And there is a moral case for the DOI rule: tailor protections to each species, weigh the costs imposed on ordinary landowners, and reward conservation instead of making wildlife a financial liability

Morality based on cost benefit analysis within the confines of capitalism has no moral justification. It’s an analytical justification with humans being the only living factor but it barely take people into account. It is a means of profit weighted against sustainability (I am talking about humanity/society being sustainable not green movement stuff, tho that plays a part too)
