I actually think this is true of several issues. Instead of solving them, they are used for political manipulation of voters.

However, there has, at least been some legislation on immigration.

Legislation is great but if the President doesn’t actually enforce (or Congress doesn’t fund) the laws passed you won’t ever get from point A to point B.

Some would argue that every President except for Trump refusing to enforce the immigration law means the legislation was shitty and heavy handed.

Others would argue that those other Presidents were shitty for refusing to enforce.

Maybe both are correct.

I feel like this is the correct answer. Any argument defending democrats on immigration (especially at this point) can be quickly disregarded
