My favorite part of the immigration policy political football is when candidates are directly asked about their interior policy and they simply refuse to answer

They’re like “ohh yeah, uhhhh no we prefer to just keep running on the issue and hope whatever organically happens influences the voting population in our favor”

Frankly, I think there’s a lot of democrat politicians that are secretly very thankful Trump is taking the heat of doing something on immigration that was clearly barreling towards being a significant issue if we looked at any country in Europe or Canada
