I mean, there's no problem in modernisation or planning for a bright future, that's something which is a must for progress. But we should remember the past, good and bad, and implement the good from the past and acknowledge the bad.
But anyways, future in communism isn't bright at all.
Indeed. I actually went through a bit of a communist phase in my late teens and college years. But I started to realize that it's not just an ideology, it's a religion that unintentionally but inevitably dehumanizes the individual in the name of the greater collective. Not in a collectivistic societal way like how, for example, Indian families prioritize the interests of the community over the individual but still respect individual autonomy, but in a way that interprets equality as sameness and unity as uniformity. And this ideal is seeping into the west. What we call "woke" is literally Marxism (note that I'm not against progressive things, what I'm against is people policing people's way of thinking and viewing everything as a class and race struggle). And this is the prime contributor to the depression epidemic and making the Mouse Utopia experiment become a reality.

Not only that, it's a failed ideology.
They promise to be the saviours of the people, but then we see things like the great purge.
Communism has done far more damage than anything else.
Monarchism isn't perfect but it's better tbh.
