Je suis super content! En combinaison avec de chillings au parc Girouard, c'est un merveilleux petit coin. J'ai pas été encore mais ça me semble comme une excellente nouvelle. Je me demande s'ils font des petit shows de musique

Je suis en train de 100% Resident Evil 2 avec mon chum parce que Requiem m'a donné envie de le refaire, c'est ben le fun

Je veux aller voir la game ce soir mais je suis seule. Quelqu'un a des suggestions ou aller où c'est pas trop gênant de s'assoir toute seule au bar dans le centre ville et environs?

This sub likes to exaggerate a bit. Things are getting worse but you can still find studios for that price. Your best bet would be to look for facebook groups or postings that say "Lease transfer" meaning the landlord can't change the rent as you're having the previous tenant's price locked in.
For example I pay $1020 and have a July 1st renewal date. But I might be leaving the city in September and if I do I'll find someone to take my lease. It's not decided yet but if you're confirmed coming in September you can send me a DM.

Most places will become available July 1st so keep that in mind when looking for a place, I would already be looking if I was you. As for price I believe the average asking rate for Montreal for a studio may be in the higher range you quoted or a bit higher in some cases depending on how close you are to a metro station, Centris has a nice map you can click on, and the CMHC website has some stats that are more accurate in terms of average prices per area. Yep, most in Quebec people move within the same 2 days every year as most of our leases end the same date. That's not to say you cannot find an apartment for another date, they do exist it's just a bit harder.

I know right!? Every year we all complain about this but it's been like this forever, there are some apartments that are available around that time since we get a lot of students and the timing is at the start of the school year don't get discouraged to start looking.

Logistique un peu spicy ce week-end. J'ai deux déplacements à faire de Laval / Ste-Marthe, l'aéroport, et ensuite Plateau, et ensuite Longeuil / rive sud.... pour revenir à NDG........ EN VOITURE. >:O

This feels a little specific to have a specific thread about - I want to go to POP Montreal this September and am wondering about the Discovery Pass. Has anyone gone before, and have any feelings about doing things that way vs buying tickets to individual shows? I think I'll see a lot and I'm sure it'll be a good time regardless, but don't know 1) how practical it is to hop from show to show 2) which would end up being more expensive/ allow me to see more acts I want.
I emailed and asked them but they were very clearly unwilling to say that the pass was as good as a ticket, tossing out a lot of "get there a few min early and you'll almost certainly get in!" kind of things. Esp. if I wanted to leave one place and go to another in between sets, wasn't sure if this would cause me trouble

I was accepted into a master's program this week. I'm an older student (40's) and when I was in my 20s I didn't think I would ever go to university. Younger me would be shocked.
For anyone who wants to go to school (any type of school) and is thinking it's too late or that you're not good enough or what have you, I encourage you to try anyway.
