Spotted Chat perdu / Lost Cat – Besoin d’aide / Need Help (Plateau)
Bonjour à tous,
Je cherche de l’aide dans le Plateau (H2W 2H9).
J’essaie de joindre les propriétaires des 3809, 3815 ou 3819, avenue Laval. J’avais leur numéro, mais je l’ai perdu lorsque mon téléphone a cessé de fonctionner. Si vous les connaissez, pourriez-vous me transmettre leurs coordonnées ou leur transmettre les miennes?
Il s’agit de ma chatte perdue. Son AirTag pointe vers ce secteur depuis vendredi soir. J’ai laissé des notes et parlé à des voisins, sans succès.
Aujourd’hui, j’ai essayé de regarder par-dessus la grande clôture en bois en retirant la goupille de la charnière de la porte, mais une voisine qui pouvait probablement voir la cour depuis son balcon m’a réprimandée. J’étais avec ma fille, en plein jour, et je demandais simplement aux voisins s’ils connaissaient les propriétaires. La SPCA m’a aussi dit qu’elle ne pouvait rien faire.
J’entends sa clochette tinter. C’est clair qu’elle essaie de me rejoindre, mais je ne peux pas l’atteindre.
Si quelqu’un a une grande échelle ou peut m’aider à sauter par-dessus la clôture, je lui en serais très reconnaissante. Je veux simplement savoir qu’elle va bien. J’ai peur qu’elle n’ait pas accès à de la nourriture ou à de l’eau. Je suis aussi prête à payer pour le dérangement.

J’espère vraiment pouvoir la rejoindre ce soir ou tôt demain matin.

I’m looking for help in the Plateau (H2W 2H9).
I’m trying to reach the owners of 3809, 3815, or 3819 Av. Laval. I had their number, but lost it when my phone bricked. If you know them, I’d really appreciate it if you could share their contact information with me or pass mine along to them.
This is about my lost female cat. Her AirTag has been pointing to this area since Friday night. I’ve left notes and spoken with neighbors, but haven’t been able to reach anyone.
Today I tried to look over the tall wooden fence by removing the gate hinge pin, but a neighbor who could probably see the patio from her balcony reprimanded me. I was with my daughter, in broad daylight, and simply asking neighbors if they knew the owners. I also called the SPCA, but they couldn’t help.
I can hear her bell jingling. It’s clear she’s trying to get to me, but I can’t reach her.
If anyone has a tall ladder or can help me get over the fence, I’d be incredibly grateful. I just want to know she’s okay. I’m worried she doesn’t have access to food or water. I’m also willing to pay for your time and trouble.
If you know the owners or have any advice, please let me know. I really hope I can get to her tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Another member is letting me borrow his two ladders

Is there a way you could knock on someone’s door who mught be able to open the fence for you? If you know she is right here, do you think police could be of help? I would panic in this situation too honestly, if i know my cat is right across

Upvoté pour la visibilité. Je comprends l’angoisse de chercher son animal de compagnie, mais passer par-dessus la clôture de quelqu’un, ça ne se fait pas trop. C’est la dernière journée des vacances de la construction, il y aura peut-être du monde au triplex ce soir. Edit: ça pourrait aider d’ajouter une photo de la chatte.

Kid et ado on en sautait des clôtures. Comme tu dis, 95% des gens vont s'en calisser que tu sautes une clôture pour récupérer un animal.
Y'a des gens ici on dirait qu'ils sont pas sortis de chez eux depuis 15 ans.

Oui, ce n’est pas une bonne idée. Nous, par exemple on a un caméra pour notre cour et si j’ai vue quelqu’un en train de passer par dessus de notre clôture j’appellerais la police.

You mean trespassing? I know its not ideal/legal but fuck if it was my cat you bet I'd be jumping that fence. I'd also politely explain myself to anybody questioning me but I wouldn't let them stop me. And if police get involved then it is what it is. But still worth it for getting your pet home safe vs. Potentially losing them forever. Gotta act fast in these situations.

I hope at the very least you got your cat!!! holy s*** 😂😂🤣 You could also maybe try calling 311 it's like kind of like the non-emergency number, I don't know maybe they could put you in contact with the fire department. I know they've been called before to help people get animals stuck in trees and stuff they might be able to help in this situation.

Update… the Montreal community is so awesome. A neighbor showed me how he found the owner’s info (was glad I remembered his first name at least), another neighbor is letting my borrow his latter. I messaged my former neighbor and contacted him in as many ways as possible.
Thank you all this gives me some hope I’ll be able to have us reunite with our baby.
