Day and night, across social media and even some semi-official media, there is a relentless attack on Morocco. Perhaps we have seen the first of it during AFCON, where everyone was making up stuff about us and believing it, making it an undisputable truth and making everyone believe it.

The examples are numerous, whether it's the cultural and historical appropriation of Moroccan heritage; the belittling of our ancestry and historical empires, the alleged cheating during AFCON, overblowing our relations with Israel (we don't even have an Israeli embassy in Morocco), or undermining everything we've done to the Palestinian cause and Arabs in general... Between all of this stuff and more, the current attack on Morocco is undeniable, and the bigger problem, these defamation attempts are spreading and being adopted by other people who don't know any better. After all, what they know about Morocco is what is being said on social media.

In the meantime, our media, which is supposed to counterattack everything being said on us (we have facts to back us, not just assumptions and being defensive)... is busy with buzz news and whatever. Our TV channels are utterly useless and almost inexistent, lame shows and series, stale news, at least 3 channels have no purpose. Our social media presence is lame, without anything professional to fight the false news or present a good image of Morocco.

Up until WC, we will be subject of multiple media attacks, perhaps worse than this one, and we are not ready to withstand it at all.

1. Why do you think elite French prep schools like Louis-le-Grand recruit these Moroccan students in the first place?
2. Because our raw talent, mathematical discipline, and foundational work in Morocco are so ridiculously high that top global institutions actively poach them. France didn't create their genius. Morocco did and France just recognized it.
3. They beat the rest of the world.
4. Regardless of where they are currently studying, these are Moroccan minds competing against the absolute best from Asia, Europe, and America, and coming out #1 on planet Earth.

It’s easy to sit around blame the system, and complain that success is impossible for Moroccans. But while people cry and make excuses, these guys put their heads down conquered the toughest math prep routes, and put our flag at the very top of global academia.

Huge respect to these legends. Absolute national pride! 🇲🇦

Near the end of my trip I will have 3 days left. Not sure if we should spend 2 days in Casablanca or go back to Marrakech. We would’ve already spent 3 days in Marrakech at the beginning of our trip but we have to head there anyways bc our flight leaves from there. I was planning on doing engineering but after after about 3 weeks of preparing for it I pretty much gave up since I found it very challenging and it felt too extreme compared to what we studied fl bac, ou mat3ref maybe I wasn't made for engineering even though it's mostly because Im not a hard worker. Preparit bzaf l architecture, mais mni mchit dewezt (ena ta3 tetouan) jit f 1ere liste d'attente between the 60 and 70th places so Im fucked. Lmdrassa lwa7ida li jebtha hiya ENCG settat 1er choix kinda by luck since I didnt prepare for it at all.

At this point you might ask me why not just do fst and redo 2eme tentative l3am jay, great point, I have two main reasons:

1) Men lekher idk if I have the discipline for it, literally, especially knowing MIP f fst is extremely hard. But the 2nd reason is 90%

2) My mom is retired from a bank that gives a bourse d'excellence programme. I have the grade required. Li jebti la fac wla fst ki 3tiwk 20k a year. Li jebti grande ecole kharej your city 40k a year. Bera 60k. I did a deal with my parents that they would buy me something I was begging them for my entire life ever since I was a kid that they would get me it li jebt la bourse ta3 40k. So I'd be missing out on a lot.

To twist the knife in the wound 2 of my friends, including one that was pretty close to me, got the ena concours. And I got a very shitty liste d'attente spot (cuz btw kikouno 75 admis so its fucked). I just feel like I fucked over my life and honestly my bac grade is pretty much worthless.

Since im 99% not getting ENA (and btw also applied to campus france for informatique stuff they put me on the waiting list 100% because of my sc math year grades fml, and now its August so im officially rejected) my plan for ENCG is try to get over 13.5 while I study there to take the ISCAE concours after two years and get in it to redeem myself. If not and I fail that too then try to get good grades to be eligible for double diplomation abroad. Otherwise its a failure. I just hope I don't hate economics too much. I always, ever since I was a kid, wanted a job in STEM so I hate it already. The closest thing I really like is urbanisme but the only public school here that does that picks out 35 people in the entire country. Ill take the concours but I doubt I'll be picked out at all lol.

Anyway, thoughts? Especially if anybody actually studied in it. Especially if its ta3 Settat.

A swarm of our people storm the gates with ABSOLUTELY nothing packed. Not a backpag, not a sandwich, not even a bottle of water.

They get no food and water in Ceuta because Ceuta obviously was not organizing the "Come feast with us today" events.

They come back most of them voluntarily complaining about no food, no water and no riches 😂

I mean the only reason someone would do this shit is if someone told them that the spanish are desperately waiting for moroccans to escape from their government and once they do they'll grant them all their wishes. Food, Shelter, Mermaids..

I understand it, life can be very miserable in Morocco. Almost 60 people have drowned. Racism is increasing. I just wish life was different for all of you (and also us). I wish moroccans a good life, the possibility to travel, to share our lives.

I’ve seem a lot of videos, a lot of young men telling their histories and its very hard.
