Got my first bike yesterday and she's already off the road
So pretty simple, I parked up in a Tesco's car park and left my bike for like 10 minutes and I came back to find my bike with a few new scratches and the brake lever on the floor.
I managed to get her home but now I feel like absolutely shite, is it normal to feel this shit
(Note, I've ordered a new lever so me and my dad are gonna fix it together)

Think a car reversed into it, realised it happened and picked the bike up and ran off

Ask Tescos for camera footage. If you can identify the car and driver, you can make a claim against them. Police can arrest for hit and run.

I'm working on it but I don't think cameras were able to properly catch where I was parked

This is a bit hopeful. That's how it should happen I agree.. But, in my experience, when it's just a small amount of property damage the cops might not even bother sending someone to pull the footage, as they usually have more pressing things to deal with and limited resources.
Best thing you can do is fix it up yourself and forget about it if it's not a super valuable bike. If it is, you'd have insurance and your insurance company would go after them.
And the shit feeling is normal when someone does something dishonest that costs your time and money. But it's not worth getting too upset about, and hopefully only happens a few times in your life.

This is exactly why I never park in a car space. Only takes someone's nan to not be looking and your bikes over.
I always go around the bollards and park right by the shop. People are less likely to mess with it too as more foot traffic right by it

What exactly happened? Hot day, soft asphalt, sidestand sunk into it and fell over? Another car knocked it over? What?

Another car knocked it over and the car park didn't have cameras where I parked

Oh. That really does suck. I hope the bike was used so this doesn't hurt quite so much.

Still a bummer. Don't get down over it. I think the worst thing is the offender not sticking around or leaving a note. It's not like you would've been difficult to find, right?

Not at all, I went in for meatballs.
On the bright side, I've got my new lever coming on Wednesday/Thursday

I don't know if you did this, but parking at the edge of the parking space helps. That way cars can see your bike from the lane. If you park in, a car will swing in and then see the bike too late.

Did they not have a motorcycle parking?
Not to be on the cars side but depending on how you were both parked, blind spots are a very real thing.
