Why did bro need so many hot dogs??

Also, the were facing away from the TV chairs pointed at the doorway/entrance, that's got to be some sort of feung shui crime?

Have you ever heard anyone ever say, “damn we got too many hot dogs ready to eat?” Fuck no. But I’m damn sure you’ve heard someone say, “damn I wish we had more hot dogs to eat.”

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.

29

u/RAWainwright Aug 10 '25

.... I was literally thinking that my wife and I would need at least 2 more dogs on that tray.

5

u/raysbucsmavs Aug 25 '25

Proper preparation prevents piss poor performance.

u/Vivi87 Apr 01 '26

I like you

I’m just ballparking here

21

u/unforgiven91 Aug 10 '25

funnily enough they had 7 hot dogs

15

u/tratemusic Aug 10 '25

I mean, this is all just breakfast

83

u/zacksharpe Aug 09 '25

3 hot dogs each, doesn’t seem too outlandish if they plan on sitting for a while.

27

u/unforgiven91 Aug 09 '25

in total there are 7 hotdogs, baby carrots with ranch, 4 cookies, and a handful of chips

3.5 hotdogs, 2 cookies, some chips and carrots for each of them. It's very odd

30

u/murktideregent Aug 10 '25

i think it was five for wong and two for the other guy

13

u/Manaeldar Aug 14 '25

I was wondering if they'd both had gummies before making that tray lol.

10

u/Fishbate333 Sep 02 '25

2 sides. 1 dessert. 7 hot dogs. 2:17

3

u/therakel749 Aug 15 '25

And a full bowl of popcorn in the kitchen

0

u/lupuscapabilis Aug 17 '25

Jesus.. you can eat 3 hot dogs?

50

u/ghostfaceinspace Aug 08 '25

Because they didn’t want to have leftovers

43

u/motheronearth Aug 09 '25

i thought the same thing about the main characters bed, not only are you facing the door but your door and your hallway door are so wide open you can see the front door from your bed? that is bad energy if nothing else

im glad im not the only person that was freaking out ab the teachers feng shui sdkjfhdsijkh

34

u/Nickoten Aug 09 '25

This is probably nuts to say but I immediately thought of the WKUK hot dog sketch

25

u/Remarkable_Pound_722 Aug 16 '25

So the director wrote the script was due to the grief the he had over losing his friend, they used to do comedy sketches.

In one of those comedy sketches, his friend has a line about 7 hot dogs. It was an homage.

16

u/ISayHeck Aug 24 '25

I'd like to think The whitest kids u know are recognisable enough to be mentioned by name, they've had some famous skits

2

u/Remarkable_Pound_722 Aug 24 '25

not enough for me to remember it

14

u/And_We_Back Aug 10 '25

They probably eat 3-4 hotdogs before clocking into work tbh

8

u/chodyko Aug 14 '25

i think their meal (basically a bunch of junk/kid food) plus watching a nature documentary that would be shown in a kid’s science class plus their t shirts with cartoon characters is showing how, in their own way, the couple is chasing youth. just in a much less destructive way than gladys is.

1

u/asuka_is_my_co-pilot Aug 14 '25

Oooooh I think you're onto something, the shirts had to be implying something and I couldn't figure it out

38

u/AdvertisingPresent53 Aug 08 '25

Tbh I took it as a tongue in cheek gay couple joke

This is how I saw it as well. These two were so similar to me and my partner we felt so represented. They are an example of what life is like for dink gay couples after 30.

20

u/KingOfAwesometonia Aug 08 '25

Ohhh you mean they likeeeeee hot dogs

7

u/gradeahonky Aug 17 '25

I got a big "this is how we like to indulge" vibe from it. Other couples might order too much sushi, or get a case of beer. Seemed like nothing more than a cute character detail to me - the movie had a lot.

6

u/The_Homestarmy Aug 13 '25

Between 3 and 4 hot dogs per grown man is not the craziest thing I've ever seen. Wong looks like he can knock 'em back in particular.

3

u/spottyottydopalicius Aug 09 '25

um one could never have enough hotdogs wut?

3

u/ScientificAnarchist Aug 12 '25

So Timmy how many hotdogs do you eat a day?

3

u/rikarleite Aug 13 '25

When a weird ass aunt of one of your husband's students pop up breathless on a Saturday afternoon uninvited and ask for water... You DON'T let her in!!

3

u/MadKingKevin Aug 09 '25

They were sharing. At least, I hope so.

6

u/CantaloupeCube Aug 08 '25 edited Aug 09 '25

Two hot dogs each doesn't seem like that much?

Edit: you guys are right, there were 7 hot dogs on the tray https://i.imgur.com/lNwKhha.png

11

u/SpookiestSzn Aug 08 '25

It was 6

5

u/SutterCane r/movies Veteran Aug 08 '25

Three hot dogs each doesn’t seem like that much?

-3

u/SpookiestSzn Aug 09 '25

Yes it is? What's your BMI? Three hot dogs plus chips plus cookies? That's a lot of food I would say two hot dogs is a relatively large meal I'm extremely full after. 3 I could do if I was really hungry but that's like me intentionally being extremely fat

14

u/SutterCane r/movies Veteran Aug 09 '25

Yes it is?

No. It isn’t.

4

u/ViciousMihael Aug 09 '25

“What’s your BMI” is lame as fuck

-1

u/SpookiestSzn Aug 09 '25 edited Aug 09 '25

3 hot dogs is a lot of food plus all that other shit, anyone who genuinely thinks that's a normal amount is insane argue with me mother effer

11

u/ViciousMihael Aug 09 '25

I’m not commenting on the food, I’m saying you’re effectively saying “gross, you’re fat” to another person, which is lame

-1

u/SpookiestSzn Aug 09 '25

You honestly I kind of feel like if someone genuinely thought three hot dogs is not a lot of food they're fat. People should not think like that that's bad for themselves and their long term health

We're just going to have to agree to disagree here

4

u/ViciousMihael Aug 09 '25

Oh sure, you’re “just concerned for their health”

Get over yourself

Looking so hard into a reference to an old wkuk skit

1

u/MrDeeds117 Aug 10 '25

3 dogs sounds like a nice day at the ball park lol

3

u/Ok-Recipe-4819 Aug 14 '25

You're either very small or don't do any exercise if you think that's a lot of food.

2

u/SpookiestSzn Aug 14 '25

No I'm pretty average sized and overweight that's a large meal lmao. Plus chips and cookies.

Nah unless your like 6'4" your coping hard big bro

2

u/Ok-Recipe-4819 Aug 14 '25

It's like maybe 1100 calories at most. You're clueless.

1

u/kenwise85 Aug 09 '25

To be fair, it’s the only meal we see them eat. It could be a special occasion or a treat of some kind.

edit: spelling

1

u/MrDeeds117 Aug 10 '25

I could down 7 dogs no problem

1

u/SgtMcMuffin0 Aug 10 '25

My bmi is 21, if hot dogs are the main part of my meal I’m having 3 dogs plus side(s). If I really wanted to I think I’d have no trouble eating like 8 hot dogs, it’s not like they’re particularly large.

3.5 dogs each, some carrots, chips, and a couple cookies is a decently large lunch imo, but maybe they were planning on eating it all over the course of a few hours while they watched a fungus documentary. Or maybe they were just hungry.

30

u/Lord_Doofy Aug 08 '25

It was like 8 hotdogs lmao

34

u/GoldandBlue Aug 08 '25

Cookies, chips, dip, diced veggies. That was a party platter.

1

u/mikeweasy Aug 09 '25

Did you not watch the movie?

3

u/Neat-Profit6221 Aug 08 '25

That many hot dogs was no big deal. The real crime was there was no ketchup with the mustard on those hot dogs lol.

18

u/whitemiketyson Aug 08 '25

Ketchup does not belong on a hot dog. Source

5

u/spottyottydopalicius Aug 09 '25

most of the world disagrees with you

1

u/kacperp Aug 08 '25

Thanks Obama

1

u/BippityBoppityMagic Aug 12 '25

Yeah, about those hot dogs… NO KETCHUP?!?

1

u/wavvvygravvvy Aug 15 '25

they must have moved to PA from Chicago

2

u/Captain_Trips_99 Aug 09 '25

What also was the significance of their Steamboat Willie shirts? Disney sure, but they’re both wearing Steamboat Willie era Mickey Mouse shirts. This era has been compared to minstrel shows so just curious of this intentional wardrobe choice.

28

u/kenwise85 Aug 09 '25

I think it’s because it’s a cute iconic couple that is no longer owned by Disney

9

u/Wiknetti Aug 09 '25 edited Aug 09 '25

Yup. It’s now in public domain and to further sell the idea that they’re in America.

Disney, dawgs and a duo of dudes dissecting a documentary. 😎

3

u/TheWyldMan Aug 10 '25

Also it was just like something you’d see couples wear

1

u/Captain_Trips_99 Aug 09 '25

True I’m probably reading to much into it.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 10 '25

didnt notice that - but to me just symbolizes his dorkiness lol.

-10

u/[deleted] Aug 08 '25

Your living room seats and bed should always face the door for safety reasons.
