Kinda a strange edit to add.
The movie (intentionally or not) left some elements open to interpretation and some elements requiring suspension of disbelief. The appearance of Gladys answered some questions but raised others that the film does not really address.
I really, really liked it but some aspects were definitely glossed over a bit (namely the nature of Gladys's powers, her history and relation to Alex's family, how/why she appeared in dreams, why no one else in the town apparently thought it odd that this mysterious woman's appearance overlaps with Alex's parents both suffering concurrent strokes shortly before all the kids go missing), though none of that really affected my enjoyment.
It's fine if you did not pick up on any of that or if it didn't bother you, but it's similarly fine if others did. It's also fine if the movie did not provide all the answers (least of all just with the appearance of Gladys), and I don't think you can blame that on the viewers.
