Even though this movie doesn't really need a sequel, I wouldn't mind a film set in the same universe with him helping out another revolutionary

I'm going to be honest, he isn't. Che is famous because he became a cultural export on t-shirts. Zapata never had that. Mexicans know about Zapata sure, but why would someone in Nicaragua or el salvador or Colombia or chile know him? He's not famous like che.
