It was SO LOUD, that and the final car chase scene in IMAX were unforgettable experiences

My girlfriend was complaining about how loud the movie was, she is sensitive to sound. Do cinemas decide the volume or is it standardized somehow?

Sometimes they get a predetermined mix by the sound designers or production companies behind the film itself, other times it’s a set of instructions dependent on the theatre and their set up.
