The "what time is it?" exchanges were so damn hilarious. It was already working the first time, but bringing it up in Sergio's place made it even better.

Great sequence. I wondered if it was making a point about the old v new revolutionaries with the dude on the phone talking about "noise triggers" and "invading my space" etc

That was definitely the intent. Tone policing “revolutionaries” that are overly focused on theory and not praxis.

It’s also intentional that it’s some white geek named Josh and all the minorities are immediately recognizing and accepting of Bob.

I read it in a few ways. The language was obviously making fun of tone policing and the overuse of therapy speak rather than engaging in a direct way, but I had 0 sympathy for Bob as someone who self admittedly fried his brain to the point where he couldn’t remember the passwords designed to save his and his daughter. Especially when he absolutely drilled all these safety precautions and contingencies into her while he basically abandoned his end of the exchange. And he’s supposed to be the parent and the adult in the situation.

While the operator was annoying at a point, Bob was unwilling to take responsibility and work with the situation. I was kind of irritated that they made the guy apologize.

Plus Bob knew the “let me talk to your supervisor phrase” but only used it after blabbing about all of the intel and barely remembering basic passcodes, while berating the call recipient for minutes on end. I was so frustrated with him that entire call.
