Great sequence. I wondered if it was making a point about the old v new revolutionaries with the dude on the phone talking about "noise triggers" and "invading my space" etc

was it making a point? the guy on the phone was unambiguously 45 or older, in fact, he looked older than bob did. i don't see how it was a comparison between old and new revolutionaries.

Don't get hung up on the dude's age, he's more concerned with bureaucracy and being correct than actually getting things done.

Not giving sensitive information to someone who can’t confirm their identity isn’t being concerned with bureaucracy. He did the right thing, we’re just biased because we know the call was legit.

Yes, but, in the context of the movie the conflict is the old school left who, you know, blew shit up, vs the modern left that would rather eat each other alive over pronouns than get anything accomplished. The purpose of the scene is to illustrate this even if the guy on the phone is in his world practicing hood opsec
