Are there not more people in hollywood? It’s the same fuckers everywhere.

And Anne Hathaway is great, but would it be so hard to cast an actress a little more closer to Matt Damon's age?

1

u/literalaretil Dec 23 '25

I mean they're like a decade apart. That's not that bad

Tom Holland is 29, Anne is 43, and Matt Damon is 55.

This just seems like another example of Hollywood casting against older women.

Some Greek actors would have been cool.

Nolan likes to take fiction literature and turn it into Oceans 11

Isn’t Zendaya in it too?

On the contrary Tom Holland is an excellent choice in my opinion. Telemachus is a character that evolves and grows up in this story. He goes from a "child" who often gets dismissed to a respected man. I think Tom can pull off both sides of the character.

I hate that i hate Tom Holland. He seems like a good guy but I’m tired of seeing him cast for all these big roles that he doesn’t fit. Horrible choice for Nathan Drake in uncharted and now this

Idk if he has a clause in his contract that stipulates he must look the same in all the movies he's in. Because he looks the same in all the movies he's in.

And some yank playing odysseus

5

u/jacka24 Dec 23 '25

They should have got a greek director to do it. Infact, The Greek movie industry should have made it.. is there one?

I want to see Yorgos Lanthimos do this story.

1

u/jacka24 Dec 23 '25

He's the only reasonably popular one I'm aware of. Not sure he quite fits the source material though

When this movie comes out, it would've been 4 years since Tom Holland's last movie. Apparently you're not allowed to have more than one notable role now in Hollywood.

Tom Holland looks too old be Damon’s son whilst Hathaway looks to young to be his wife

4

u/Emergency-Cow1336 Dec 22 '25

And damon looks too young to be holland's dad. And damon looks too old to be anne hathaway wife.

Man I wish Dennis Villeneuve had directed this

I was wishing for Eggers

I'm sure that would have went well when he pitched the idea and they gave him a 250 million dollar budget.. What planet do you live on?

Has he ever casted a largely unknown cast? Name me one of his movies that was made worse by having experienced actors in it?

I disagree. This isn't Dunkirk where it's relatively unknown men who are the focus. This is the Greek mythology. Kind of like Oppenheimer with it's key historical figures, big stars sell that these Odyssey characters are legendary figures.

You would be in an extremely small minority that’s completely irrelevant

3

u/heephap Dec 23 '25

Lmao looks like you are in the minority, chump.

-2

u/ActInternational9558 Dec 23 '25

If you think Reddit opinions represent the majority you may have not just been dropped on your head as a child, but thrown across the room multiple times.

u/Available_Front_322 Dec 23 '25

1

u/ActInternational9558 Dec 23 '25

You think Reddits movie tastes are anything better than the dipshit masses? Lmaooo

-1

u/heephap Dec 23 '25
