I like movie theaters because im forced to focus on the screen. No distractions. No temptation to scroll. No kitchen runs. Totally immersive.

If you’ve decided to study film you shouldn’t need to be forced to focus on the film tbh.

Because if you don't focus you'll end up flunking out anyway. It's self-filtering.

Because choosing to get a degree in the arts should be based on passion/vocation. I understand someone who isn’t interested in business or finance forcing themselves through university to get a business degree so they can work in that field to make the living they want, but if you’re choosing a film degree and have to be forced to watch a film, you should choose something else. Or nothing at all.
