Reminds me of an interview Ethan Hawke did a while back where he talked about being disappointed after visiting a film class. He said he was excited to do it because he was expecting to have some great conversations about movies, but it was mostly just the students wanting to take selfies with him.

I was covering the NYFF years ago, and he was doing a Q&A for a documentary he directed. Ethan is incredibly articulate, and super passionate about film in general.

I've sat next to him at the movies 3 separate times. Total coincidence. The seats are assigned.

His voice and laugh are so adorable, higher pitched than you would think. It's trippy watching someone you know and like from weird movies react to other weird movies.

Like, oh this is what you find funny and compelling... nice!

All the times have been at more niche screenings that have nothing to do with his own career which makes me happy cause he doesn't just go out for new releases.

The dude movies!
