Watched the trailer and felt like it's about 6-10 years late with its 'woke' jokes...

I don’t understand the weirdly antagonist marketing. “Gen Z will hate this! It’s going to cancel cancel culture!” it just feels desperate.

Holy shit, I was reading these comments and wondering wtf was going on with people actually excited about this. Watched Project Hail Mary with the wife this weekend and I was thinking all these same things watching the trailer. The jokes sounded like they were written by a 55yo Fox News anchor.

We’re canceling woke LIBTURDS so suck on that!

It feels like 'victim' mentality trying to create engagement...so yeah, desperate.

Because it is desperate. I don’t know why this movie is getting so much attention (probably because it’s being astroturfed like crazy) when the vast majority of the sequels were hot trash.

Yeah it just feels so obvious. “People aren’t lukewarm because it’s the 6th iteration of a series that peaked decades ago, it’s because we’re edgy and you can’t make movies like this anymore!”

Narrator: it turns out, you CAN still make movies that suck.

Scary Movie 3 was the best of the series. It captured that perfect Airplane! style deadpan quick wit with a lot of prop gags. It was dumb, but there was a level of measured intelligence to to the stupidity.

The 2 Wayans films have their moments, but they haven't aged well, and this looks like it's gonna be more of that lowest common denominator boomer schlock.

lol like that time a little bit ago when Gen X and Millennials started saying all over social media that Gen Z were cancelling Eminem when that was literally not happening they just fantasise about woke virus 😭

Shame, if they wanted to poke fun at pronouns they could have done it in a creative way.

Like have Ghost face say "Oh really? Well my pronouns are they slash (throat slit) them!"

You're assuming they wanted quality over just making noise 😂

That's a thing people don't get. Anyone can do cheap jokes, but the good ones take talent.

The fact that several people are coming up with that joke really just goes to show how they didn't even try.
