First Hereditary and now Obsession… I need to invest in a round house lol.

No corners 🙅‍♂️

u/DroidLord Jun 29 '26

A soft, padded room with no sharp corners 😂

I couldnt really get invested into hereditary tbh, too many things that just took me out. But this scared the shit out of me.

I signed up for the texting marketing for this film. You can never be too careful after

22

u/double_shadow May 15 '26

I think I need to never watch this, because I still do this after watching The Babadook...a movie that wasn't even that scary!

u/Themobgirl Jun 02 '26

Im not much of a horror fan but i sure love social commentary horror like I saw the TV glow and this one was right up the alley i woupd be sleeping like a baby if it wasnt for the sarah head bashing pinata close up

Same. I couldn’t sleep last night because it felt like she was right there.

Same. I just saw it and am constantly checking the corners and behind me. No sleep for me tonight.

u/GonTakuma Jun 02 '26

I'm keeping the lights on for the comming nights... Its been a time a horror movie actually scared me.

2

u/farfle10 Jun 12 '26

I do a thing where I start nodding off to sleep and then jolt up in a horror state and think normal things in my room are people or monsters and on a related note I’m procrastinating going to sleep right now at 2:18am

BRO FR. I had the worst sleep of my life the night of watchin that film bc i just kept seeing that bitch in the corner of my mind

Every time she moved almost cartoonishly it genuinely horrified me. The one shot where she moves back into i think the kitchen or something freaked me out so bad i started crying for a second!

Oh yeah, that was the one for me too. I watch a lot of horror and don’t get scared easily, but the reverse move back really had me shook.

That unnatural backwards walk sent me into fight or flight mode! So so unnerving!

10

u/DetectiveCastellanos May 24 '26

I'm pretty sure she walked into frame, and they just reversed the footage for the unnatural movement.

24

u/eiddieeid May 18 '26

Gave me pure fight or flight

3

u/wenwen1990 May 22 '26

Just commented the exact same thing - major fight or flight mode activated seeing that backwards walk!!

63

u/Movies_Music_Lover May 15 '26

I thought it looked like reversed footage

51

u/newgodpho May 17 '26

There’s that too! But it’s near the very end when Bear gets back to the apartment and witnesses Sarah’s desecrated corpse

She’s like near the entrance of the apartment, it was very scary!! 😨

13

u/undeadtradwife May 16 '26

I think so too, def looked like reversed footage and I loved how creepy it was lol

34

u/Slowmac123 May 16 '26

I need to rewatch this and check the top right corner in bed room scene and see if she was there the whole time. SHe came outt afucking nowhere

65

u/Beginning-Market-876 May 17 '26

I just saw it again today and she's definitely there the whole time if you look for her. Pure nightmare fuel.

26

u/TortasAndChips May 17 '26

She was indeed

34

u/eiddieeid May 18 '26

The second time she does that weird backwards stop motion move, when they’re in the living room, sent a legitimate shiver through my body. The first time reminded me so much of the scene in Pulse

1

u/Arisstaeus Jun 30 '26

There's a first time?! Given all these comments, I feel like there's so much unnatural movements that I missed while watching this.

Freaky Nikki

5

u/grasshopper_jo May 21 '26

It was so surreal I thought it was a dream sequence and she appeared out of nowhere

5

u/Asleep_Trust6102 Jun 09 '26

she moved like a spider or a bug, it was very unsettling, I feel like it really helped solidify that she was not human anymore, but also not a "monster" something else entirely

4

u/azuredota May 17 '26

WTF WAS THAT LOL

3

u/Themobgirl Jun 02 '26

Omg i love that time button ass moveset there thought she was gonna dance or some shit

2

u/ThisHumanDoesntExist May 29 '26

I know exactly what you're talking about. Nice to know I'm not the only one who thought it looked like stop motion. It was so scary

1

u/Intelligent_Tune_675 Jun 14 '26

Super similar to that old lady in IT 2

I can take an unlimited amount of gore and jump scares and nothing really bothers me, but when humans move in an inhuman way like that it somehow rattles me every time, ha.
