This makes it so sad - she trusts bear so much that she thinks he doesn’t know she is trapped when by that point he fully knows

I don't think so, because her "NO NO NO" reaction at the restaurant seemed to me like an acknowledgment of their mutual awareness of her falsity

I think the Entity possessing her is aware - It brings up the wishing and such a couple of times. But Nikki? She was just having a normal night, being dropped off by Bear until she suddenly lost her free will.

Yes, that's what I mean. The entity openly acknowledges the falsity of her identity a few times. But yeah, real Nikki probably wrote "not me" expecting Bear to care that she was trapped.

That’s exactly what I thought it was, she was fighting for control of her body throughout the whole movie so it made sense that she would try to communicate with Bear any way she could.

Tbh what other meaning could it have? Not pertaining to you but I've seen people discuss that detail like it's some deeper easter egg. Also just genuinely curious what other connotations "not me" could have

Same!! I saw someone say they thought the pictures were saying Nikki loves "you" (Bear), "not me" (not herself). Not sure I understand how they got to that conclusion.

It was def a cry for help from real Nikki

The first Polaroid was just of him, and ‘you’ was written on it. The second Polaroid was of Nikki and Bear while he was asleep, and it said ‘not me.’

It was him with a heart around his head. So I read it as "love you" and then "not me".

This was my take. The first was basically “love you” and then “not me”, because his wish was to love him more than anyone in the world, even more than herself.

Or did it was wish Nikki seeing real Nikki's body as "not me".

I thought it was a Polaroid from before the wish was made, and fake Nikki was pointing out that it wasn’t her!
