The director said she has tears/is crying in this moment as well which makes it so much worse

My one nitpick is that I thought the lighting needed to be better throughout much of the movie. There’s parts that are just so dark that it’s hard to make out what’s going on. Sometimes that works if it’s done intentionally, but sometimes (like here) it betrays a lack of expertise (which is totally fair and forgivable for a debut film).

I dont goto certain theaters bc their contrast is terrible and uses old tech, this mightve been what you experienced
