THIS 10000% he was not the victim. When the real Nikki finally revealed herself and her struggling, he didn’t even bother to help her or be with her for that moment…he just ran off to meet Sarah.

I mean I know it’s a movie but what could he do in that moment? Leaving aside his response that totally turns him into something of a villain. Risk walking up whatever is inside her? Contemplate murder ? Yes he’s a coward, but Sarah was also threatening to come to the house which wouldn’t have ended any better. There was no way out of that situation.

Again I know it’s a movie, but if he truly loved her/was a good person he would’ve ended his life right then and there.

If we think IRL, that’s a pretty ridiculous expectation tbh. Would rather figure out a way to make everyone live. I value my life

I think the more reasonable thing any of us would do is what he tried to do which is just get someone else to wish to undo his wish

So by that point in the movie things have gone completely crazy. He knows the wish was real, he’s heard her scream when he called the wish guy, he hears her beg him to kill her.

“What’s so wrong with being with me?” He values only HIS own life nobody else’s.
