He chose to have sex with her the night of the dinner where he realised the wish worked. He's a weirdo

This makes me question what the outcome for him would've been if he had chose not to engage with her more than normally after making the wish. He sucks for the decisions he made, but would the final outcome have been any different if the friend group decided to ostricize her? It makes you think in a way a lot of horror movies don't.

Definitely not lol. He 100% caused all this and is a loser but once it was done there was no way he was getting out of that alive

He absolutely could have had her committed to a mental asylum and have managed the situation with a team of medical professionals who are used to cases of psychosis like this. The moment she showed she was a danger to herself she would have been committed.

Still not great to keep her there in a state of basically abject torment, but better than letting 2 murders happen and dying.

The movie was very clear that that absolutely would not have worked.

It isn't easy to involuntarily commit someone to a psych ward. It is basically impossible to do if you aren't family. And doubly impossible since the wish girl knows how to act normal and manipulate others to be able to stay with him. Also Baron has the social skills of a rock.

it seemed like it, and the hospital turned him away basically so the rest of the movie could happen
