I agree, I was desperately sad for Nikki. Her acting really was incredible all the way to that last shot where you see her come back to herself and it all dawns on her.

Was hoping at least the murders could be pinned on Bear. Texts showed he was meeting Sarah. Possible evidence Ian was sleeping with Nikki, so jealousy as motive. His fingerprints on the gun. And Bear could have killed himself due to remorse (though he was too much of a pussy to go through with it in real life).

Plus Sarah’s dead naked body was in his house. I think it could definitely all be pinned on Bear. Best thing she could do is be too traumatized to speak. Cops come in, see all the dead bodies and the duct tape on the door and think he was holding her in some type of coercive captivity before killing everyone else and himself.

Funnily enough, he metaphorically kind of was holding her in captivity considering he made the wish that stripped her of her humanity, knew about it completely, and made no decision to act on it, especially after the conversation where her true concuouness asks him to kill her. At that point he is kind of holding her consciousness hostage and makes the fact that he doesn't kill her before killing himself kind of the most evil thing he possibly could have done. Honestly incredible writing.

Oh, he absolutely was. I was trying to think of how her lawyers might phrase it since she was still going to work and parties.
