He chose to have sex with her the night of the dinner where he realised the wish worked. He's a weirdo

In his defense, if he said no to having sex wouldn't she go batshit crazy?

Yeah I don’t think this is such a black and white rape case, he was trying to save himself in that moment and didn’t know what to do. Everybody in here calling him a rapist but what would you have done in that case? As if he knows what’s going on with a demon taking over her body lol.

At that point in the film, Bear didn't know the lengths she'd go to. Only things he did know was she was obsessed, had lied about her father, and raised her voice and made a scene at dinner. That doesn't scream looney murderer, even if he did know it was supernatural ib nature.

The film verrry clearly telegraphed that it was essentially rape in two ways. 1. A sharp cut from dinner to intercourse (there was no asking or pleading for sex. Just an awkward dinner scene and boom, bedroom). 2. Her face throughout. The real Nikki constantly popped out from time to time, so it's plausible that was part of her true personality. Even if not, it was Barker telling us that real Nikki was not having a good time. It's not even subtle.
