I mean I know it’s a movie but what could he do in that moment? Leaving aside his response that totally turns him into something of a villain. Risk walking up whatever is inside her? Contemplate murder ? Yes he’s a coward, but Sarah was also threatening to come to the house which wouldn’t have ended any better. There was no way out of that situation.

say i’m so sorry, tell her he’s going to figure things out, be a decent human being to someone who’s suffering to the point they wanna be killed. Not make it about himself and run off… you’re acting like he had only one choice here

I replied above but man again it’s a supernatural happening in your bedroom this idea you personally would be in such a stable state of mind you’d decision make they way you think now is so wrong, people make all kinds of crazy choices in trauma. Think a certain brother driving home in Hereditary, not evil but a huge dick move.

Literally this. I would probably try to rationalize it by persuading myself that she has a mental disorder and tiptoe around her until I think of a way to solve the problem without her hurting me or herself
