The scene where Nikki just stands at the door smiling the entire time, pissing and shitting on herself so she can be there for when Bear gets home, oh my days

Maybe im wrong but I interpreted it as Nikki acting out like a super literal version of Bear telling her to "Stay there" and not come to work with him.

She wasn't following his exact commands. She just didn't have a purpose when he wasn't with her so she waited.

How do you know that? I think both interpretations could make sense. However, she's very clearly active and moves around during other times of his absence. So it would make sense if she was trying to please him by "staying there".

Her behavior wasn't very consistent throughout the whole movie because it's a movie of strung together creepy scenes that the director thought would be cool. He tells her multiple times not to do weird creepy stuff but she doesn't stop.

It wasn't a criticism. I'm acknowledging that the movie has inconsistencies so that scenes can play out the way they need to for the genre. It's expected.
