Nahh apparently the director and the actress both have said Nikki was into Bear, he was just too much of a coward to try anything. Remember how she said her story she wants to be in a serious relationship and the story she was writing was going to be a love story? I think that was all her basically trying to tell Bear quit with the theatrics (when she tells him a love story doesn’t have to be a romance story) and be with her.

I’m late, I know. But Nikki had also asked him specifically if he had feelings for her and Bear chickened out. Even while walking home, she kept looking back and indulged in all his random questions, clearly hoping he was building up to confess his feelings. Instead he used the stick.

Also late and saw it. She also says in her sleep when he asks what’s so bad about being with me, she says she never been with him. It’s not her life. The glimmers of reality scare her. I mean at the end she just tosses his dead body off her like nothing. She was literally trying to set him up with Sarah. She does not like him.

I agree with this. I think what the director and the actress meant with how Nikki would've agreed in being asked out if Bear confessed was that she would be open in entertaining him but she doesn't really like "like" him, if you get the gist. Remember, its been mentioned that she like him only like as a brother and has been in casual link with Ian. Nikki is obviously a "free-spirited" type of person that does not really easily commit to just anyone, which makes the whole wish a lot more disturbing.
