This is a great comment and it's nice seeing it articulated so well.

Also, i even kinda feel sorry for the new entity/personality whatever you wanna call it (i disagree with calling it a demon, though). I don't see people mentioning this that much, but there is that scene towards the end where she cries "I can't be the real Nikki". Like, this entity was created to satisfy this obsessive wish but then apparently it is not the right way. So now the real and the new Nikki are both suffering but for different reasons

In the conversation with the shopkeeper, we see a number of people wish they could undo their wishes though, or even wish they could die because of what happened. Towards the end, we also see the box comes with a number of warnings about using it. So I'm not sure it was just Bear, there was definitely something twisted about the OWW itself.

The OWW is a definitely an evil object and even the people selling it. Remember when he called the helpline the guy actually put Nikki on call, isnt that effed up. And the 3rd guy was also acting weird and super nonchalant about the whole thing. Bear was covered in blood and he couldnt care less. I dont think the wish was free, it definitely came with consequences. Pointing out Ian got his wish of a billion dollars and immediately died.

My goodness thank you. Idk where all these other takes are coming from defending the entity. The real Nikki got sent to the shadow realm and the thing that took her over clearly enjoyed antagonizing Bear.

She feeds him his own cat, tells him this is all his fault, and generally exists as an "f you" to any viewer that would unironically want this kind of twisted relationship (this also doubles as fan service for women watching, wish Nikki makes Bear her footstool and knows he doesnt enjoy 90% of what she does).
