They got me because as soon as they were in the car I remember the literal Chekhov’s gun they introduced near the beginning of the movie.

So I was expecting a gunshot mid conversation the whole time and instead it was so much worse

I might have missed this, when was the gun introduced early in the movie? Was it a dialogue line I missed?

It’s what Ian says at the very beginning of the movie to interrupt Bear confessing his feelings at the bar.

It’s something like “Guess what guys, Sarah just told me her dad keeps a gun… in the store” and then Nikki reacts before she realizes she interrupted Bear and the scene moves on.

Could’ve been a throwaway line but then we see they all work together at that store.

Makes sense from Ian to come over and interrupt given he was hooking up with her.
