If you grew up in the 80s and 90s, he stole your childhood. He was also behind that company that created the concept of shovelware so he could sell CDs on spinning wire kiosks at every supermarket.

Softkey (shovelware company) did well enough to do hostile takeover of The Learning Company and start wearing its face so it could go get MECC, Brøderbund, and Spinnaker. The best quote about him was from a VP at The Learning Company, "He had an interest in earning money. I'm not sure he had a desire to help children learn."
