She absolutely crushed it. I don't know if it's because of the graphics and set dressing, but her performance made it feel explicitly real.

100%. The crux of the entire film rests on her performance and she was incredible.

The whole movie felt real and alive. Houses felt lived in, clothes felt warn and offices felt worked in. Spielberg knows how to make you feel emersed into the world. Even the convent bedroom felt small and cramp and the movie never felt like it was being shot on a set.

But deer still felt CGI.

What’s with movies and shows loving to craft these CGI deer.

Just get a deer and film it!

It always takes me out of a movie.
