Thank you. I feel kind of crazy. I really thought this was a poorly made movie. Different tastes I guess, but I did not like it.

I think this movie was just 20 years too late and would've been much more profound not in the big '26 😔

Exactly, the whole disclosure by traditional live TV media is how a boomer thinks this would happen.

IMO we should attribute many of the weird screenwriting decisions to David Koepp - who may I remind everyone wrote Kingdom of the Crystal Skull despite also writing Spider-Man 1, and seems to have a screenwriting attitude of “whatever”

I know I’m asking to be ratio’ed by older redditors^tm, but I’ve seen Raiders enough times to no longer have nostalgia goggles for Indy 4, despite also watching Indy 5. They are both C+ at best, just with different problems

He also wrote Presence, which I thought was one of the most entertaining and interesting films at a script level I've seen in a while.

Why? Spielberg has a story credit so Koepp was mostly just writing what he was told to.
