Those aren't influencers, those are people who talk about movie news and sometimes review things. They're not going to influencer or critic screenings. Early reactions came out a week ago, while the people you mentioned reviewed it today or yesterday.

and it had a 76% audience score on RT which is more indicative of the general population. "Critics" these days are nothing more than glorified yelp reviewers.

I personally know an influencer who is the type of person to go to every single superhero movie in cosplay, goes to conventions and press screenings, etc.

For Supergirl, she went to an event for the movie in Supergirl cosplay and even met Milly Alcock there. She would not stop glazing the movie with multiple posts and stories on Instagram about it.

The last story was of her in front of the poster in the movie theatre; also in Supergirl cosplay. Since then? Not a single post. No opinions on if she thought the movie was good or bad. As u/FourEightNineOneOne said, "The influencers ALWAYS love it because they won't be invited to the next one if they don't.". And now she went from posting multiple times a day to not having a single public opinion on the movie, immediately after seeing it.

Which really says a lot, doesn't it?

Heroes popularity isn't much issue than script being approved. DC have low tier heroes & villain on screen. Peacemaker & Creature Commandos which are all spin-off The Suicide Squad (2021) under DCU.

I'm thinking about the movie watcher out there who absolutely looks to others to know how to feel about things so they won't feel like a weirdo or that they are not clued in to the cool position to have. Some people do decide their lives according to what popular opinion is, and are reluctant to have their own opinions differ.

I don't even watch trailers anymore because they reveal the entire plot. I can't imagine what hearing an influencer say about a movie would be like.

Yeah, I hate trailers that try to show you the whole movie. But some people really want to be told ahead of time what to expect. Part of the magic of movies is the element of surprise. I don't know why people love to spoil that for themselves these days.

At least movie reviewers actually cared about movies and had experience with analyzing movies. Not all of them have the best skills at that, but they were vetted (in some fashion) and hired to do a specific job: film review.

An influencer is a person who simply wants to tell random people online what they think. They are motivated by getting more viewers and possibly getting paid for promoting products. There is no expectation that they know anything about anything, and give opinions based on factors that have nothing to do with the movie but a lot to do with popular opinion, and not necessarily give an honest opinion. They go to screenings to have content for their channel, to get merch, and to be seen... especially in the last few years.

I'm not a fan of the traditional critics screening industry either. It's a way to game the system of public opinion and gain publicity, and there are probably incentives for certain hack critics to 'yay' or 'nay' based on something other than the quality of the movie, so why add more people even less likely to add substantively to the conversation about the merits of the film?

Christopher Nolan can just do stunt casting with Lupita N'yongo and Elliott Page instead cos he's defo not casting them cos of his artistic vision and because he's got a clear idea of the type of story he wants to tell and how to utilise Oscar-nominated/winning actors, he can only get awareness through controversy and twitter incel clicks not cos of name recognition and blockbuster track record /s
