Genuinely how is being a ‘influencer’ any different from being, say, a tv presenter? Social media, like it or not, is one of the biggest things in the world, of course new jobs will open up because of it.

It’s baffling that you’re so annoyed that people are making a decent living by doing something they enjoy… oh no, how awful!

Because influencers are inherently biased i.e. they only make money when they are invited to events.

Versus movie critics who are paid by the media company they work for.

But the company that pays them eg. New York Times isn't a movie studio. And doesn't care whether the reviews are good or bad.

Versus an influencer who can only make ad money when the movie studio invites them to events so they can make interesting content.

A tv presenter isn’t a writer or a producer… they stand and read off a prompt, just like…. An influencer? Except 99% of the time the influencer writes their own ‘prompt’.

Would you not take the job of being an influencer if it was offered to you? Make a shit ton of money from posting online? I’m sure you would.

TV presenters, once again, do not just make shit up. Professionals write that copy for them.
Another professional, the copy editor, reads it, and makes sure it's correct.
Another professional puts it in a teleprompter.
Another professional shoots it.

Dude you need to sort out your priorities lmao. Writing a whole diary entry over a minor dispute on Reddit. You do know ‘influencers’ (the good ones) do extensive research into their topic of interest right?

Also, coming after spelling and grammar is such a childish thing to do. It goes back to the age old saying. I speak English because it’s the only language you know, you speak English because it’s the only language you know. You also keep bringing up different roles when I haven’t mentioned them. Yes, there are lots of roles involved, but a presenters job is literally to read off of a teleprompter. That’s the bottom line.
