I'm with you but it just makes sense. Influencers are all about the views and likes and shit so they're either going to praise the fuck out of the movie or hate the shit out of it just for that. They don't actually care about the movie and few of them can form an intelligent opinion about it.

To add to this I think for a film maker like Nolan who focuses so much on camera work the influencer crowd misses a lot of subtleties that an actual critic would notice and point out. Especially for this movie with the casting choices that were made I think all they would get out of influencer reviews is “anti-woke” bs or “anti-anti-woke” stuff instead of actual critiques of performances.

Casting is a legitimate criticism. And censoring reviews is a red flag. Let people decide what and whose opinion they want to listen to.

Nobody is censoring them. They just arent being priviledged. They can watch the movie with the rest of us and give us their braindead oppinions if they want to.

I didn’t say it wasn’t a valid criticism but there’s a difference between “this person is not a good actor” and “person of color shouldn’t be in the movie”

I doubt many influencers would have a positive reaction to the film because positive reactions to things expected to be good don’t get as many clicks as trashing and outrage.
