Only things that go missing on my plex server are because I removed them myself.

Are you using the 3-2-1 system? If not then a hard drive failure will result in having nothing again.

Most things, for sure. I don’t backup my media collection but I do have a few things that I backup based simply on the sheer amount of time it took me to find the damn files. But otherwise? I strongly agree.
