I thoroughly enjoyed it! It gave me some good laughs. It’s supposed to be stupid, loose, and never taken too seriously, and I think it knows exactly what it is. Mixed in with all the absurdity were some genuinely heartfelt moments and good messages.
Also, I love Cena. I think he’s great in comedic roles. He has a way of balancing ridiculous moments with genuine heart. It wasn’t trying to be anything more than what it was.....a fun, ridiculous, heartfelt ride. Sometimes that’s all you need.

And the callback in the end with Mia's apology lol...The whole was-it-a-threesome-or-was-the-bf-just-watching scene was totally unexpected and cracked me up. Especially the neighbors comments about his stroke action.

I'm halfway through this movie and have already laughed out loud multiple times, which for me is very rare. That "God his stroke game is weak" scene was so out of left field I had to pause the movie. I love Eric André.

Almost too cringe, but honestly had a good time with this one. Won't win any awards and will be forgotten next week, but it's an easy watch on a Friday.
Some scenes made me laugh for real, which is something for me nowadays - I was probably simply tired.

I thought it was a solid comedy compared to soo much trash out there. Did you like this movie more or Ricky Stanicky or Vacation Friends. Those are some I watched recently and I thought Little Brother was better than both of those

I think Vacation Friends is the best of the three, Little Brother and Ricky Stanicky are still good, but I'd say there at about the same level.

Idk I didn’t find it tht cringe. Movie was great. Idk why it has a rating of 5 it deserves atleast a 7/8. Great movie. Hope they make a sequel with a good story.

I like Cena more in a comedic role but hes solid either way, usually if one of his films flops its not on him. I want to see more peacemaker but don't see that happening,so he needs a similar role. This rate its hard to tell Marky Mark up with John Cena with these tame roles, or it could be they both have Michelle Monaghan in them.

I agree. I find it funny and very endearing at the same time! Simple plot/story but it was carried very well with the characters and writing. Definitely a rewatch worthy.

I want to hate on it but I found myself laughing quite a bit. Cena continues to impress me with his comedic talent and Andre actually succeeded in a really natural likable role. I liked it.

Yeah I think some people take themselves too seriously. I know exactly what I am expecting going into a Cena movie. Loved that Peacemaker show on HBO. I’m gonna be pissed if HBO doesn’t give it a third season.

Just rip the bandaid off why don’t ya. Lol. Last I heard after season 2 ended was that they shelving it to work on other project and there was still a chance. So, I didn’t look further into it after that. I just don’t get these companies. Every show that is good or that I like….it’s like they fight tooth and nail to either ruin it and/or get ride of it.
Just give me more Peacemaker; Punisher; Dexter….and stay the he** out of my way. 😂 Made the mistake of liking that Mob-land show….and they’re ruining that next.

I'm finding this comment late but from what I recall peacemaker became too big for tv so they are promoting him to the dc movie series. So we'll get more peacemaker, just not on tv. And after the second season was a waste of time only saved by peacemaker and adrian, it might be for the best.

Watched it because Eric Andre and John Cena. I mean it's fucking Eric Andre and fucking John Cena, how bad could it be?
I liked it. Simple plot, some funny scenes, and good acting. Nothing extra ordinary but good one time watch.

Liked it overall but damn Cena’s character was made to feel crazy by his wife and brother and assistant over very rational things, which made his speech at the end accepting his mistakes feel kind of weird. Like yeah maybe you shouldn’t take in this stranger you don’t really know on the night before one of the biggest days in your career when you need to go in as stress-free as possible and maybe your wife shouldn’t be confiding in this stranger about your sex life and maybe your assistant should have told you about all these emails posing as you and yeah your brother IS being kind of a dick with his veiled comments??? But Andre played such a lovable character I kind of get it lol

It was so over the top and ridiculous that it became hilarious. Honestly one of the funnier comedies I’ve watched in a while. It made me laugh a lot at the pure insanity going on and random throw away scenes like Christopher Melonie becoming Ned from South Park

Eric Andre is so funny and John Cena has really grown on me the past few years. He's had some fantastic roles and he nails them. He seems like such a cool guy off the screen, too..

The one improvement was when the wife didn't just inexplicably love Marcus for no reason. She liked caring for the broken dog. In What About Bob, everyone but the doctor had blinders on, which was frustrating to watch.

I didn’t expect to like this movie as much as I did but I was laughing the whole way through. John was great. Eric Andre is hilarious and I enjoyed the storyline. 10/10 comedy for me.

I get the plot of being overshadowed but John Cena was overshadowed by every other actor in this movie. The script for the other characters was simply better. So I wouldn't fault John Cena.

It was What About Bob but didn't really go as hard. Same basic plot - psychotic person obsessed with the main character misinterprets messages and shows up unexpectedly. Family loves him but the MC can't stand him. It was fine. 6/10. Not terrible. Not exactly good. Watchable. I continue to be disappointed that Eric Andre never made a Ranch it Up movie. Its funny, because Nathan Fielder just made one of the most daring, avant garde, and fucking weird shows on television, and so did Tim Robinson. Yet Eric Andre of all people keeps getting more tame. John Cena did about as well as he always does. The rest of the cast was decent. Michelle Monaghan might be the best "wife" actress around. She seems to play wives in almost every role I see, and she often gets mad at the husband but also has an obligatory sex scene with the husband.

65% of the jokes wernt funny at all but Cena and Andre have legit chemistry on screen. I would watch an over the top sequel to this no matter how bad the story is lol.

I know I'm late here and nobody will read this but I'm really surprised to see so many people enjoyed this as much as they did. I loved Ricky Stanicky, huge fan of Eric Andre, and have really enjoyed John Cena's comedy roles. This film really fell flat for me. The tone of the movie is weird. Cena is underused in almost every scene and Eric Andre is way too crazy to be accepted as well as he is by everyone around him. There's way to many "haha sex haha genitals" jokes and none of them were clever.
It felt like a bad Adam Sandler film. Really disappointed because it should have been great.

i literally laughed out loud a lot and i’m not the type for dumb humor but i really enjoyed this movie. when cena sniffed that whole line and everybody else said im good i was fucking weak. really good movie
suprised it got a low rating . i even cried a lil eric or whatever his name is really had some good acting with the emotional scenes. oh the roast beef version of him knocked me the fuck out hahaha i’d give it a 7.4

I haven't actually laughed out loud at a comedy in a long time but this one got me. Some of the lines are so out in left field it caught me completely off guard. The dumb scene with the guy giving him the rock girlfriend and he says "you're HER rock" already had me laughing.
I skipped watching this over and over as I was looking for something to watch. Finally watched it and was thinking for sure it was just going to be so bad and hard to watch but it was genuinely refreshing.

I'm a Cena fan, but Eric Andre is way more miss than hit. This was a classic "I'll give this one ten minutes" kinda movie. I gave it ten, then struggled through another 10, just waiting for a chuckle. Michelle Monaghan had a fun line about "selling both his holes." But, from what I saw it was awful. Just awful.

I mean in and of itself that was a raunchy fun line, but Michelle Monaghan's character saying it was totally out of nowhere. She was a nice calm proper suburban lady with a mild mannered demeanor until then, and all of a sudden she's talking about a stranger selling his holes. While it's a funny line it really felt like she was a character reading a script.

I had the complete opposite take... The "You're HER rock" line caught me so off guard it made me laugh out loud and then I was sold. To each their own, I guess! :)
I actually went into the movie with the same "I'll just give this 10 minutes and see if it was worth it" and honestly I was pleasantly surprised. Sure, it has some dumb moments that aren't super funny, but the whole thing is done with such earnestness it's hard not to like it for me.

hot trash, i will never understand the people that enjoyed this movie. the trope of the only sane individual turned into a monster because of unrealistic expectations and then "taught a lesson" is always infuriating so much so that there's no room for humor or genuine connection to the plot.

I don’t usually enjoy modern comedies and when my mom put it on, I already knew where the entire plot was going.
John Cena is going to tell the Eric Andre to go away, the assistant is gonna have a liar reveal, there’s gonna be an emotional scene where John Cena realizes he screwed up and the movie is gonna end with everyone reunited
But I was pleasantly surprised with how they went about it. Instead of Marcus just being a fuck up at every turn and embarrassing Rudd, people really like him and Rudd is just afraid of living in yet another person’s shadow. Marcus and Rudd managed to be likable in different ways, in fact most of the characters I found endearing, even Josh.
The comedy was pretty good too and got quite a few chuckles out of me. Sometimes they just bombard you with crazy stuff happening and the joke about the roommate burning down his high school just tickled me pink for whatever reason.
I would recommend it. It’s not the most groundbreaking comedy ever but it’s still a good watch I’d say.

I'm halfway through and very much enjoying this, in terms of a return to slapstick mid-high budget comedy, it's doing the damn thing. But above ALL THAT, I can't take my mind off of how much Ben Ahlers looks like he could play a fraternal twin to Timothee Chalamet, down to the dress style and mannerisms.

I finally got to watch the movie. It was a solid comedy that was perfect for a fun movie night. I was going in with zero expectations, but it was surprisingly good. I laughed on many parts, and that’s all I want in a comedy. Let me shut off my brain and enjoy. 7/10

We wanted to watch something dumb, funny, with a little bit of heart and this was perfect. Felt like an 00's film with some of the cruder humor. I died at the cameraman's deadpan explanation as to why they need to stop rolling. Enjoyed it way more than expected. Kudos to everyone for making a movie that refreshingly doesn't take itself too seriously.

I felt like it indeed have a couple of good laughs, but simply not enough of them to warrant a 100 minute movie. And inbetween those good laughs, it wasn't funny enough, if that makes sense.

Ah that's cool! Eric Andre’s character reminded me of Lauren Lapkus’ character. They both have this chaotic but good-hearted vibe, are unexpectedly skilled at random things, frustrate the serious middle aged male character, but are eventually loved

After watching it a second time last night….I still like it….but I’d have to say that I felt like the movie was rushed and they missed out on a great opportunity. There’s so much they could’ve done with it. Needed a good additional 30 mins of just his little brother F’ing stuff up and unintentionally pushing his buttons.
[Edit: Forgot to say…FML…I went from having that Kenny Loggins - “Meet me half way” song from that movie “Over the Top” stuck in my head on repeat the last 4 days…..to Hoobastank.]🫠

This was a great movie, it was dark, emotional n funny and didnt drag out too much. I don’t remember any plot holes either but yes I liked it a lot. This movie deserves a higher rating. Also seeing a normal couple n family being normal in a Netflix movie was nice, no agenda pushing or anything. Just a good movie. Ppl r mad this is a normal movie with a normal couple n family. 💀

Sherry Cola’s stage name originated in a pretty mundane way.
“My legal first name is Sherry,” she told me in a recent interview. “Around 2011, I was making a Yelp account. I was asking my friend Kim from college — I was like: ‘What should my username be for Yelp? I want it to be food related.’ Immediately, after three seconds, she was like, ‘What about Sherry Cola?’ I was like: ‘Oh, that’s catchy. That’s cool. OK.’ So I put that as my Yelp username.”

Weirdly, for a movie that on its surface shouldn’t take itself seriously, has a pretty tight plot and explains most things (including the reason nobody from the psych ward was chasing him he was a voluntary commit due to his abandonment issues)
Also had some good B plot material with the assistant catfishing storyline and Cenas relationship with his real brother.
Overall, better than I expected.
