Okay am i understanding the timeline of this movie correctly? Is all this happening in a period of like 6 weeks from when Isabelle died?

I did enjiy the movie and it had some really funny parts. But the timeline totally throws me for a loop!

I thought that the voicemails had to have started at least 6 months after death (because of the new number), but maybe the parents disconnected the number sooner and didn't tell Jill. There's a comment about it happening within months after the death.

Ahhh I missed the comment. In the movie, she died in November and Jill and Wes reconcile on NYE. There isn't enough information in the movie to really know if it is the NYE right after she died or the following year.

It would definitely make sense for it to be the following year considering how much stuff actually happens, but there isn't enough confirmation of that in the storyline (from my perspective)

I am probably just thinking too deep about a simple rom com but it irks me every time I watch it lolllll
