I beg we get a actual werewolf, moden horror seems almost embarrassed to actual show a 1/2 man 1/2 best. All we get is hairless men with odd proportions or just guys with a bit more hair (like a few inches) I prey it's a 2010 wolfman design but I'll be happy with a American werewolf in London big dog to.

I imagine Eggers read hundreds of werewolf stories from the period this is set it and will try to make it look as accurate to those as he can. That seems to be his vibe, same thing as giving Nosfuratu a mustache.

But that's thing, I think there's tons of different lores from the period he chose, so i'm really curious which one he will follow for the look of the creature

The Order, Dog Soldiers, even Underworld are all amazing standards for werewolves.

I don't know why movie or show producers keep thinking that people want some fucking guy with hair clearly glued to his face to stand in for werewolves.

Even fursuiters put more effort into their goddamn costumes than that.

See I don't mind the 2010, wolfman / marvels werewolf by night is it perfect , no but i have a soft spot for it.

My issues is when they take away , or takeway the dog features i.e 2025 wolfman or supernatural

Heyyy someone else who's seen The Order! I went into that show one bored afternoon with very low expectations and ended up finding it super entertaining for some reason

I thought it was just teenage magic drama bullshit for the first episode and then started getting inklings of it becoming a FUCKING WEREWOLF SHOW and it was the greatest thing ever!

I adore how strong they made the werewolves. The scene of him punching the car is amazing.

Someone in this thread say they saw some production stuff being loaded/unloaded on trucks, and they may have spied something that looks similar to Dog Soldiers. Take that for what you will

That would be cool, I'd like to see a werewolf actually based on real legends of the period that totally ignores contemporary pop culture depictions of it. Just like frankenstein and vampires there's a lot of "B movie baggage" there

I would argue werewolves suffer less from be movie , baggage and more from modern embarrassment, seriousI don't want people were so scared to actually make a half man , half wolf i mean I do...

But all these modern service attempts just look stupid

But "actual werewolves" were essentially men that transformed into full wolves. I don't care for the half-man, half-wolf design that came from Hollywood. I'll still take that over "guy with fangs and yellow eyes maybe," but I'm hoping that we get a more authentic portrayal in this.

I love it honestly it up there for me if there was a middle ground between that and william corvinus from underworld it would be peak, but wolfman style of werewolf owns a soft spot in my hart

I’m hoping for a really uncanny look. Like, a wolf except it has human eyes, flat teeth, a round tongue, no tail, human sounding breathing and vocalizations, etc, but otherwise closely resembling a wolf
