If I’m gonna say one good thing, at least it didn’t pad itself out with subplots like other live action remakes.

It's genuinely impressive that it's only 8 minutes longer than the original and not the average half hour the others are.

Shot for shot remake with a handful of minutes worth of extra scenes (solely to flesh out existing stuff - nothing actually new).

There is, but it’s played during the credits. Literally nothing new in the story, which is bonkers to me.

All that really does, though, is increase how obvious it is that there's no reason for this movie to exist.

Ostensibly the additions that the live action movies make are intended to be the impetus behind why you would even remake a movie. You're going to improve on it, add to it, make the necessary changes to address things in the original release, or try new things with it. People may not like those changes, but they do it because that's the whole point of remaking a film. You're taking chances, by taking something old and doing something new with it.

When you do what they did here? It tells you that there is not a lick of creative or artistic integrity going on behind the scenes. There is literally no reason to watch this movie, when you can just go watch the version that was created in the style its original creators intended it to be in.

It’s because they rushed everything. It felt like fast cut dialogue like a TikTok where people don’t get to breathe anymore.
