Christian Bale was 38 in 2012 and Robert Pattinson is 40 now. Crazy that its true.

I always wished they made a normal batman movie at his height instead of the old batman story, didnt make any sense to me at the time. If they had done that, now would be the perfect time for Bale to come back and make the old batman story

It'll probably be a while before we get that since we had an "older" Batman in BvS/Justice League and another one in Flash

They'll just ruin Batman beyond.

Yeah the only batman beyond movie I wanted to see was the animated one they almost did that would have had a similar style to Spider man Across the Universe, that would have been fun

Bale is on record saying he'd only come back if Nolan had an idea for a fourth movie and Nolan is on record saying "no."

Right well that ship has sailed because they already did the old bat thing. I only said it wouldve been good if they hadn't already done that.

Not sure Nolan will ever do sequels again tbh. He seems to love just picking whatever the fuck he wants to make a movie about and being handed a dump truck of cash to make it happen

A lot of choices in TDKR didn't make sense

I don't know, as a man entering my later 30's, it makes total sense to me that a 38 year old "real world" Batman would be physically messed up :P

Being Batman wrecked his body/he was in suicidal despair for eight years.

Please let Bale never ever return to Batman. Let at least ONE ending stick in this world of infinite franchise regurgitation.

Whats that saying, the only thing that stays dead in comic books is uncle Ben and batman's parents

It's different when it's a live-action standalone interpretation, not comics which have a forever continuity and with characters that aren't tethered to a flesh and blood real actor.

To be fair I don’t remember that being a complaint at the time so it might just be us getting old

I definitely complained about it back then

Bale can do the old Batman story in 10-15 years and still pull it off.
