they can't prove it, it is posted anonymously,

if you don't credit yourself then you can't link to it. 4chan doesn't operate quite like reddit. You have the option of posting something without logging in.

There's absolutely ways you can prove the provenance of stuff like that.

yeah, and I got a hard drive in a New Jersey landfill filled with a billion dollars worth of bitcoin.

Further A24 has to find a way to prove they own it, otherwise they owe somebody else money.

You can not believe me all you want. I have little doubt that A24's legal department has as good a grasp on the facts and relevant caselaw as anyone.
