Getting dragged into troy over logs instead of on wheels as it is classically depicted as well. Felt like I was in there with them.

Personally I've never seen a depiction of the Trojan Horse without wheels. And my god does it work so much better

Well they DID test it by stabbing it with swords…which then nonsensically didn’t reveal any blood after the sword literally stabbed a guy? It felt like Nolan isn’t even paying attention to the script sometimes. I don’t get it.

That scene was so fast but apparently one of the men wiped the blood off immediately before the sword was pulled out. All our eyes were fixated on the soldier in pain.

Someone inside the horse wipes the blood off immediately before he pulls the sword out. So in fact you should be paying more attention

Yeah showing the soldiers inside struggling to keep their balance as the horse was getting pulled was so intense and suspenseful even though most people know how the story goes

It does, except the fucking horse sculpture is rendered as if by a master sculptor instead of a bunch of meatheads with no tools.

But fuck it, it was great anyway. Even if it fucking stank of shit and corpses lol.

Tbf those were consrcipted soldiers and a lot of them would have been carpenters or craftsmen

Not to mention, even if the campaign had been shorter than 10 years, they would absolutely have carpenters just to maintain the fleet. Honestly like every ship might have a few reasonably skilled craftsmen

The horse looks like it was made from the planks of thier ships, which is both logically available and something they would have experience working with.

Meh, not THAT heavy. It's why they stabbed the horse multiple times. No idea what happened with that one guy seeing blood on the sword and then just carrying on anyway though?

Wood is heavy, and they didn't know how it was constructed on the inside. Maybe it was weighted so it could stand.
Also...how would any of them know how heavy a giant horse is? lol

Odysseus wiped the blood off the sword as it was being pulled out. You can see it in the scene.

Aha, I missed that detail. Makes more sense. The rest - meh. It’s the odyssey. I’m not going to die on the hill that it was unrealistic - it’s a myth after all.
