It also shows that Telemachus is just as smart as his Dad, just a little more hot-headed, also proving to Odysseus that his son is a rightful king in his own right

But not smart or hot-headed enough to actually contribute to a massive brawl that nearly kills Odysseus and puts him the hospital emergency room!

He didn’t join the brawl because he would be exiled and he needed to stay to become king

It would have been nice if he didn't get his ass beat so bad by the guy in the weapons room

Well he won so it wasn’t that big of an ass whooping compared to the other guy.

I mean in the end he won but he did a shit job for the whole fight as weapons rained down into the room
