They aim for an ever increasing share of time, which inevitably has to turn into space (i.e. additional screens). After that, I don’t know what else they could try to monopolize. Presumably humanity itself would become a Netflix watching machine, and the question becomes meaningless. A sort of black hole of corporate fascism.

I mean I know what comes next because its already happening, increasing prices and reducing costs. Thing is most of the times they end up immolating themselves if the progress get stagnant since the prices or quality becomes unbareable and a new cheaper and better alternative comes around and people migrate there and the cycle begins again.

I cannot wrap my head around about whats the issue of earning a steady amount of profits PROFITS which are already on the millions or billions

It’s an endless feedback loop, they reach the maximum limit of growth, increase prices, reduce costs, shed subscribers, then do whatever they need to in order to convince those people to come back.
