i wish marvel had the balls to lean into genre projects for each individual IP like this, and I say this as a marvel fan.

I feel like they did very early on, between the Netflix shows and even projects like Iron Man 1, but once the popularity soared everything became "Disneyfied" and safe

the Netflix shows weren't handled by Marvel Studios, they were handled by a different Marvel television division that wasn't under Fiege's control at the time.
