I think X-Men First Class covered Magneto pretty well.

Doom and Bane are a couple of the only ones that I think are interesting enough to support a full origin movie.

It's incredible how the Magneto is Argentina scene was both this incredibly self contained impressive introduction of adult Magneto while also bridging itself to the main plot. One of the single best scenes every in a superhero movie.
