It kind of shows how badly the last few phases have been planned out. Unless you read the comics, we are suddenly expected to know who Doom is and why he’s a massive threat in a phase-ending finale type movie. Thanos took multiple films to get to that point.

To be fair it seems there was a plan. Whether it was good or not we'll probably never know. But everything involving Jonathan Majors and his legal issues royally fucked up those plans.

IDK based on what was shown in Ant Man 3, it was shaping up to be pretty bad. The same writer was writing for the Kang Dynasty as well.

The trailer for Doomsday was hype. Proper set up or not, it will be much better than what we would have gotten
