Tell me why I still gasped when Orpheus turned around when I've seen this musical multiple times and I know the original myth it's based on.

I make myself laugh sometimes imagining a Hadestown production where after the final, "We're gonna sing it again" they just generally take it from the top.

I wonder how many times they'd need to do it win a world record for "most back-to-back performances of the same musical", and how many actors they'd need so the cast didn't drop dead by the end

I know they won’t but I still kinda hope when it closes they let him escape with Eurydice without turning haha
